Here is a cross reference into an ARP top timing gear to camshaft retaining bolt.
This listing is for a Ford but the thread size is the same as the Slant Six. (7/16 - 14 unc)

The bolt is a little longer then the stock SL6 cam bolt but this is not a problem, the threaded hole in the cam is deep enough to handle the extra length. This also allow room to use a thick lock washer along with the standard large-thick flat washer.
One great thing about this ARP bolt is that it has a radiused dimple in the bolt head . This is helpful if you want to make-up a cam stop or "button" to keep the SL6 cam from "walking" forward.
Shown is a Slant Six rocker arm adjusting ball screw which can be used to make the cam stop.
A 3/8 - 24 unf nut needs to be welded directly over the bolt head dimple as shown in the pictures below.
