12-2003 Engine Swap

Seized-up 225 comes out, low block 170 (209) goes in.
Bob Stepp was nice enough to let us do this engine swap in his shop near Sac. Raceway.

Everything swapped pretty fast. The Hyper-Pak intake was swapped over to the 209.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We swapped-in a new 4000 stall 8 inch Continental converter while we were in there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The replacement engine fired right up, the only problem is that one of the lifters / pushrods is not spinning.
I will swap-in a different lifter to see if that fixes the problem.

Next step is to bolt some exhaust to the headers and go for a test drive!
